I don't know! It's hard to say, since everyone's been affected in such different ways. Most of the animal features I've seen are cute and soft -- Lucifel-san is a nine-tailed fox and I got to pet his tails. Normally I wouldn't think I'd like the merpeople as much, except that the whole scales and sharp teeth look is definitely better than straight up half a fish? Aaaaaand Nine and I are both vampires, so there's some bias there.
